Understanding Trauma in the Body


Trauma is often thought of as something that lives in our memories or thoughts. But trauma is fundamentally a nervous system experience.

When our system encounters overwhelm, threat, or prolonged stress, the body adapts in order to survive. These protective responses can stay active long after the original situation has passed, shaping how we experience safety, connection, stress and even our physical health.

This introductory workshop explores trauma through the lens of the nervous system and the body, helping you understand why we react the way we do and how safety can begin to be rebuilt.
